Abstract submission

We cordially invite you to submit your scientific work as part of the 18th Research Festival for Life Sciences and to present it in the form of a poster lecture.

Abstracts can only be submitted online. The abstract submission will be opened via a link on this website on October 01, 2024. The scientific committee will evaluate all submitted papers and notify authors of the program schedule, probably at the beginning of December 2024.

Guidelines for submitting an abstract

Submission

  • Please submit your abstracts via internet. Abstracts submitted via e-mail, post, or other methods will generally not be accepted.
  • The conference language is English.
  • Abstract submission is only possible in English.
  • Due to the limited capacity of the event rooms, submission will close as soon as either 220 abstracts are reached or on November 4, 2024, 23:59 hrs.
  • Ensure the citable publication of the abstracts.
  • Registration and participation in the 18th Research Festival for Life Sciences is mandatory for presenting authors of accepted abstracts.
  • Only one abstract may be submitted per first author.
  • Please note: The first author of the poster moderates the poster presentation. In case of absence it is possible to appoint a deputy scientist for the presentation. The scientist must be one of the authors of the registered poster. Each speaker is only allowed to present one poster. Further information on the poster presentations can be found here.

Notifications (Emails)

  • Please note that only the submitting (corresponding) person receives all abstract notifications.

  • Submitting (corresponding) authors take responsibility for informing all co-authors of the successful submission, acceptance or rejection, as well as for forwarding to presenters any instructions received on how to present the abstract.

Abstract contents and format

  • Do not use the title or the name(s) of the author(s) in the body of the abstract.
  • Please phrase your abstract clearly and unambiguously, and structure it according to the research question, the objective, the methods used and the conclusion.

  • Maximum length of 1600 characters (including spaces, exclusive headline).
  • Please refrain from formatting your abstracts. We cannot guarantee that abstracts will be formatted in the exact way as they are entered.
